What You Get

Sports Equipment Transport

Qatar Airways accepts a wide range of sports equipment but requires advance notice for oversized or fragile items. Pack items in approved cases, check specific size and weight limits for your route, and pre-book any special handling through reservations or customer service. Fees or excess-baggage charges may apply depending on fare class and destination; for teams or bulk shipments coordinate with cargo services.

Onboard Rest & Recovery

Long-haul flights include Business and Premium cabins with lie-flat seats, extra legroom, and curated amenity kits to support recovery after training or competition. Inflight dining can accommodate dietary needs for athletes if requested in advance. Select seats and meal preferences when booking or through Manage Booking to optimize sleep, hydration and comfort on long overnight sectors.

Baggage, Extras & Lounges

Baggage allowances depend on ticket type and route; sports travellers should confirm free allowances and buy extra baggage online to avoid higher airport fees. Priority boarding, lounge access and fast-track services are available with certain fares or Privilege Club status, useful for teams and solo athletes needing quick transfers. Consider travel insurance and excess baggage pre-purchase for peace of mind.
