Highlights
How it works
Product range
Taobao’s home & garden category covers a vast spectrum: dinnerware, soft furnishings, lighting, small furniture, storage solutions and DIY supplies. Expect fast-moving trends alongside traditional Chinese craftwares — many independent makers and micro‑brands sit next to larger factories, so you can source both inexpensive staples and niche decorative items depending on the seller.
Finding quality
Quality varies by seller. Pay attention to photos, detailed measurements, material listings and buyer reviews. Look for high-feedback stores, request extra pictures if needed, and compare identical listings. For textiles (bedding, cushions) check fabric composition and GSM where provided — sizing and material names can differ from Western labels.
Shipping & payment
World.taobao.com supports international checkout and commonly accepts Alipay plus major credit cards. Many buyers use consolidated shipping (warehouse grouping then export) which is cost-efficient but can take longer; express options are faster but pricier. Expect variable delivery times and possible import duties depending on destination country.
