EVERLANE

Designed to last.

At Everlane, we’re not big on trends. We want you to wear our pieces for years, even decades, to come. That’s why we source the finest materials and factories for our timeless products— like our Grade-A cashmere sweaters, Italian shoes, and Peruvian Pima tees.

We believe our customers have a right to know how much their clothes cost to make. We reveal the true costs behind all of our products—from materials to labor to transportation—then offer
them to you, minus the traditional retail markup.

The mission: Make the world’s lowest-impact sneakers. Make them to last. Make them carbon neutral. And never stop pushing to make them better.

The average sneaker sole is almost entirely plastic. We use recycled and natural rubber instead, keeping 18,000 pounds of rubber out of landfills—and cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 54%.

47% less electricity. 62% less water. 46% less CO₂ emissions. ISA TanTec is raising standards for tanneries everywhere. That’s why it’s certified Gold by the Leather Working Group, which maintains environmental protocols for leather.

We recycled plastic wherever possible, from laces to the insole. 9.5 bottles are renewed to make every pair—with 18% less carbon emitted to make those components.

We’re continuing our work to further reduce our impact—from cutting out all virgin plastic to closing our production loop. It won’t be easy. But things worth doing rarely are.

An independent life-cycle assessment put the total emissions per pair at 28.9 kg CO₂e for the Trainer and 24 kg CO₂e for the Court Sneaker. That accounts for every step of production (even back to growing food for the cattle). We’re working to reduce our impact, but in the meantime, that’s where offsetting comes in.

Carbon offset projects reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions. We partnered with NativeEnergy to support their work with ranchers to improve cattle-grazing practices on American grasslands—which leads to better soil health, cleaner waterways, and greater carbon sequestration into the soil.

Our Promise—Radical Transparency

Meet Saitex, our game-changing denim factory.

Standard denim manufacturers waste thousands of gallons of water in the washing process—but not Saitex. The factory’s unique closed system recycles 98% of all water used and when it comes out the other side, it’s so clean you can drink it.

Our ethical approach.

We spend months finding the best factories around the world—the same ones that produce your favorite designer labels. We visit them often and build strong personal relationships with the owners. Each factory is given a compliance audit to evaluate factors like fair wages, reasonable hours, and environment. Our goal? A score of 90 or above for every factory.
