A wedding is a traditional ceremony in almost every culture. It is a very special moment for family, friends and close ones. Picking up a dress for a wedding ceremony can be tricky sometimes because it has to be gorgeous and stylish too. Your personality reflects through your appearance, so you need to be careful while choosing an outfit for such an event.

In general rule, women should wear dresses and men should wear suits. However, the suits should not be black and women's dresses should not be white. Women have the freedom to wear anything and have too many options for a wedding guest outfit, except white, off-white and ivory color. You need to look gorgeous but you don’t want to outshine the bride. If it is a day time ceremony you should avoid black or sequins. If there will be older guests on the ceremony, try to avoid the low cut, too much revealing or high-hemmed outfits. But that doesn’t mean you cannot look attractive, just be reasonable for the sake of the bride and groom. The purse shouldn’t be too big with the dress, and you can wear a pump shoe or heels with the outfit. 

Dressing in weddings for men luckily isn’t very difficult to select. Suit and tie will always be appropriate. You just need to be concern about the weather if its fall or spring. If it is winter then go for a wool-blend suit in a dark color, with a black bow-tie and well-polished black shoes. In spring you might want to select a lighter color or fabric shirt with suits. You can always select a white color shirt and a patterned tie is appropriate for every occasion. You can also add a pocket square and cufflinks in addition.
